Nice to Start With5
I like this kettlebell, it's good for a newbie like me. Very well made, the dvd is only instructional, not good for a work along dvd, but the dvd does explain the basic, and that's good thing. This kettlebell has a smooth handle, which is less damanging to hands, and it's also Vinyl Coating which is good for those of us who workout inside and want to be careful with floors, the price is good to. This bell is very portable, I took it with me on a weekend trip, so I was abe to maintain my workouts, but make sure that if you take it in your car (which is what I did) seatbelt it down in the back seat or tuck it in underneath passage side back seat, but never in you trunk. All in all I really like this bell and it's a good investment.

Kettlebell4
It appears to be everything that it was reviewed to be,. Due to an injury, I haven't had opportunity to use it.

Good product5
This product arrived exactly as described and on time. I'm happy with the vendor!

Best way to workout4
The gymboss is simply put the easiest way to get the best workout. The timer takes the guess work out of training and allows me to focus on technique and intensity rather then reps and sets. The set up is easy to use, and the timer's portable size makes it easy to take anywhere. I have total control on exercise duration and rest intervals, which means I can make each workout unique. I even like the fact that the timer has a vibrate feature so I can use it in a crowded gym without disturbing anyone else. I will be using the gymboss with every workout from now on.

What a great little gadget5
As personal trainer, this is an extremely useful piece of equipment for me. Whether I am with one on one clients, small group or an outdoor bootcamp, I can set the GYMBOSS by my client(s) and give technique adjustments as needed while still keeping the exercise going as intended. I appreciate the two available timers which frees up my time and attention from continually resetting the unit. The sound is loud enough to be heard by a group, or it can be silenced.
I have also found it handy when I have them run sprinting/ walk -run drills. Because everyone goes through a circuit at different speeds they often can get spread apart. Solution: Each clips on a GYMBOSS and off they go.
Personally, I have been using it with my TRX Suspension system. I can clip it on the strap and run through my intervals without having to always glance at my watch.
This is a handy, inexpensive, and easy to use gadget. I love it.

Great tool, designed for HIIT training.5
This timer is outstanding for interval training programs, Crossfit, & functional fitness type circuits. Rather than counting reps or watching the clock, you just set the work time, interval time and the number of rounds. I'll write out my entire workout before hand and just press start, ie "sledge hammers swing 45 seconds, kettlebell swings 45 seconds, squat-thrust to jump pull ups etc..." It's a very handy tool and helps you focus on your workout and keeping it intense for a set period of time. The only suggestion would be to have sound setting much louder so it can be heard over loud music.

great way to start kettlebells5
I have lifted weights for several years; but a recent article in FITNESS magazine made me curious to try kettlebells. Not knowing anything about them, I went to Amazon and ordered the 10# with dvd,and the booklet. I am now using a 15# kettlebell, on my own. I highly recommend the GoFit kettlebell & dvd. You really need to learn the moves and correct form, but kettlebells are one heck of a workout. I dont use resistance bands, or dumbbells much anymore. I am 56, am losing body fat, and overall I feel better and stronger in my back and legs than I have in a long time. These GoFit 'kits' are well worth the money. Go for it!

Highly recommend the 10 lb kettlebell!!!!5
I wasn't sure if I should start with the 10 lb or go with the 15 lb. I'm glad I started with the 10 lb. I'm 39. I do not have alot of experience with free weights. I use my treadmill 2-3 times a week & try to do my pilates when I can. The 10 lb for me is the perfect weight. I couldn't imagine being able to do some of the moves, especially the ones where you lift it above your head with one hand using the 15 pounder. Any heavier & you risk hurting yourself. Some websites suggest most woman can start with a 8 kg/ 17.9 lbs. but to me that's way too heavy. I saw another site where an experienced kettlebell instructor, about my size / 130 lbs. was only using a 12lb. Keep in mind when choosing one that alot of the moves involve lifting it over your head with one hand!! Unless you only plan on using it for squats, or have alot of experience with weights, I highly recommend starting with the 10. It's a great workout!!!

I LOVE the Kettlebell Workout though the DVD has a lot to be desired...5
I had never heard of the kettlebell workout but through a random search on Amazon I found it and was intrigued. There were very few reviews but the premise sounded like something I would enjoy so I took a shot and ordered it.

In order for you to make a well informed decision in regard to purchasing this product or not I want to share with you my fitness level as well as my experience using the Kettlebell and Video in comparison to other fitness activities as well as who I personally think could benefit from this and who I think shouldn't consider it.

My Fitness Level And What Size Kettlebell
I have a recumbent exercise bike at home and I workout on that at least 5 days a week. I do 1 hour on the bike at least 3 days a week (sometimes 5) and the other days I never do less than 45 minutes I also use 2-3 pound hand weights for half the time I am on the bike. After I get off the bike I then do some floor exercises and hand weights between 3 and 5 pounds each. Prior to starting this fitness routine which I gradually worked up to over 8 months ago, I was recovering from some very serious health problems. Prior to that I had been in excellent shape most of my adult life always working out at the gym. Moving on...I ordered the 10 pound kettlebell and I am thrilled with that amount of weight, it's actually the perfect amount for me. Any heavier, I would not be able to do it and think I could easily injure myself. So, I personally think if you are in excellent shape and used to lifting weights you MAY want the 15 pounder but the exercises you will be doing with the KB are so different that I think it would be much better for most people to work up to the higher weight and not jump in with the 15 pound size.

The Exercises
So, the exercises you will be doing with the kettlebell are full range of motions with both arms, and a TON of squats. I have been using the kettlebell after I get off of the bike and can tell you currently I can't last more than 15 minutes. I personally subscribed to working up to things so I felt great after I finished, I will continue doing the bike then the kettlebell for 15 minutes for 1 week and then move up to 20 or 25 minutes etc...

The Workout
For me, this is one serious workout workout. What I mean by that is, this is no step class or kickboxing, this is super hard core. Again, for my physical state this is how I experience the workout. Now if you are in much better shape than me, it will be easier for you or if you are just starting an exercise routine it will be harder...it's all relative. The moves you perform really need to be done with absolute correct form and that is what I really concentrate on in order to get the most out of it. The proper form is not difficult to get the hang of at all. And, like all other exercises, you should go at your own pace.

The DVD
This is the biggest disappointment. I thought the DVD was going to be a real workout type of DVD where it was entertaining and there would be a class you were following or at least an instructor. No, that's not the case. Basically there is a woman performing the exercises who does not speak, rather the instructor speaks but is not seen. WEIRD. There are also breaks between each exercise. It's very boring and I mean VERY boring. But, here's the good part. The DVD does teach you how to do each exercise properly and really that's all you need. I don't need to watch someone to motivate myself, I am very motivated plus you really can't have the correct form if you are watching someone as you are doing some of these moves. What I do is I tape a ton of shows that I never get to watch that are the real riveting types that I'm very interested in....i.e. American Justice, Mystery Diagnosis or one of my favorites Animal Precinct and I watch those when I am doing my bike or my weights or the Kettlebell and the time flies. I basically use the Kettlebell as another weight and cardio workout along with my bike and I just follow the proper form doing numerous repetitions; it's working out great for me. I *may* buy another DVD but I doubt it - though if you enjoy those - I would say go for it because the one that comes with the kettlebell is limited.

Who Should And Who Shouldn't
Anyone interested in exercise and enjoys the convenience of working out at home should definitely get this. I love it and it's REALLY good exercise and I can't possibly see someone not getting into better shape with this. If you have knee problems, I would not recommend this to you unless you have no problems with squats. If you want to tighten your booty and tone your arms and legs... ORDER NOW!!

The Kettlebell workout is such a fantastic change from the usual; it's a lot of fun, challenging and an excellent overall workout. The KB itself is very small and easy to store almost anywhere. I can recommend this workout without reservation, just concentrate on your form and take it slow! I truly hope this review has been helpful in your decision to purchase The GoFit KettleBell (10 LB) and DVD set or not, I'm thrilled with mine and look forward to doing it every day!

Perfect workout!5
Sarah leads so well, the exercises are great, and kettle bells are a great tool! Her instructions are precise and you always know exactly what to do. i highly recommend all of her workouts!

Love this work out DVD5
I just love this DVD. I used to hate working out, now it's fun. It's easy to follow along, there are 30 second breaks between each rep (time for a quick sip of water, chance to catch your breath, or a super fast run to the potty) and it's consistent (she works the body the same number of times on the right as on the left, and counts properly - 8 is 8, 9 is 9, so on). Other tapes have been boring and inconsistent. I have Pavel's DVD and HATE it for that very reason. Pavel is condisending and inconsistent, plus they require additional equipment (two kettlebells, a stool, etc).

This DVD allows the beginner and intermediate to get a good workout, plus teaches the basic moves necessary to then go on and create your own workout. As you move up the kettlebell weights, you find that this work out keeps you progressing, but even with a low weight, you immediately feel better, and see results in short order. I have ordered this DVD for my mother and my daughter. They both love it too.

Effective Workout4
Kettlebell workout is great if you're looking for something different. I'm new to Kettlebell and think this video is good for the beginner and intermediate. I have been using a 7lb kettlebell for the past month and am moving up to a 10lb kettlebell. From what I have read, beginners should use a weight no more than 10lbs and intermediates should begin with a 15lb. I haven't worked out in a while so found using the 7lb to be ok to start with.

The DVD starts with chapters showing how to do each exercise correctly, then there is a 54 minute circuit workout for you to follow along with(although the DVD says 46 min). There are 30 sec breaks between each workout, which seems unnecessary at first until you get through about half the workout, then you're happy for the breaks.

Volume 1 covers the basic exercises, 1 arm & 2 arm swing, clean, 1 arm press, front squat, windmill, 1 arm rows, also some ab workouts - which are just basic ab exercises done with the kettlebell between the ankles. The exercises are very easy but you will get a cardio workout and these exercises will also help with strengthening your balance.

This DVD is the same as the DVD that says it's the complete workout version that came out in 2005, that costs almost twice as much. Both are 54 minutes in length and contain the same exercises, which I didn't find out until after I had purchased.

Works as expected4
So far, so good. I keep it in the car. If I'm not at home when my phone needs charging, I can use this and my car changer to keep the battery charged. It isn't a good use of gas to drive around just to charge the phone.

Awesome Product!!!!5
This is the coolest thing. We use it for everything from our handsfree unit in the car to our kids ipods. I wish we knew of this gadget a long time ago. Received this item in a few days of ordering. Great service.
